You will be spoilt for choice when you dine at The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort as it offers four different dining options. No idea where to start? Why not follow what I did during my stay in the Resort. 🙂 Start with the lavish all day buffet spread that has a wide range of food from the authentic Malaysian specialties to the International cuisine at the Asean All Day Dining restaurant. Thereafter head to the best place to chill and catch the afternoon sunset at the Bayu Beach Bar where they serve yummy exotic cocktails and delicious snacks or finger foods.
The dedicated smile lure me to be part of their family for few days in The Taaras! 🙂
In the evening, enjoy an extravagant and sumptuous western cuisine served amidst the natural ambiance of the beach, which has a good collection of Brasserie-inspired menu with wines to compliment and complete your evening meal. After dinner, you can chill out with your companion(s) at the Asean Terrace Lounge for some light bites and beverages accompanied by live music entertainment by the talented band or singing duos for that post-dinner relaxation.

As a vegetarian, I was very well-taken care by Chef Kay, the Sou Chef of Taaras Resort. The vegetarian meals were delicious and beautifully decorated which shows Chef Kay’s dedication to her work. I am truly impressed by the taste and design of the dishes prepared by Chef Kay!
#4 – Dedicated Service
The friendly and smiling staff is something that will make your stay memorable. Just remember that you are on a vacation island, where the purpose of your visit is to enjoy the slower pace of life. The staff at the resort are very well-trained to provide superior customer service and kudos to the outstanding management team who lead them. Interacting with the staff daily makes me feel that we were living together like a family, like a home away from home. Too much loves I received in The Taaras Resort! 🙂

The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort has many facilities available for guests to try. Indoor activities range from a fitness center for workout freaks; cooking classrooms for chef-wannabes; X-Rooms for the gamers; karaoke room for the singer-in-training; pool table for the next Peter Gilchrist; and board games for the bored people haha. #7 – Tranquillity Natural Environment
Surrounded by a jungle with flora and fauna and the big ocean, the island is an enchanting place for jungle trekking, the fascinating hilly island of Redang has a well walked jungle track approximately 2 km long between Pasir Panjang beach and Teluk Dalam beach. En-route sights include a little river stream and catfish, occasionally, you may cross path with the shy mouse deer as well!

#8 – Value For Money
As a 5 star hotel and resort on an offshore island, the price of staying in The Taaras Resort is rather reasonable. The room rate depends on your choice of room, whether is it the Garden, Hillside, Bay View, Ocean Front, Sea Suites, Premier Suites or the private Taaras Villa (ultimate splurge for celebrities or moneybags).

Price also depends on the season of your visit, the rate fluctuates according to the supply (number of rooms) versus demand (number of guests). If you can afford to spend a bit more on your vacation, go for the Sea Suites or Premier Suites to have a great view of the beautiful ocean from your bathtub! Alternatively, ask for the Ocean Front for direct access to the beach!

#9 – More Activities In The Pipeline For 2017
There are plenty of things to do in Redang Island. Besides diving, snorkeling, to tennis, volleyball, windsurfing, kayaking, boogie board and even jungle trekking. There are also some special arrangements such as Kid’s Activities, Robinson Crusoe Experience and Sunrise/Sunset Cruise, oh-la-la. According to the General Manager of The Taaras Resort, Mr George Teh (one of the most dedicated and friendliest, a heart-warming and lovely person I ever met), he shared there are plans to bring in more activities into The Taaras Resort e.g. zip lining, ATV, banana boat, fly board aka water jetting etc… It will be up within 2017 season. #10 – Improved Accessibility
Thinking about how to get to The Taaras Resort? Worried about ferry transportation or overcoming the seasickness? Good news for everyone, in the pipeline for Berjaya Hotels & Resorts (BHR) to promote Redang Island as a key holiday destination regionally and internationally, BHR has partnered Prima Air to provide chartered flights from Subang Airport (Kuala Lumpur) to Redang Island. From April 2017 onwards, you will be able to make bookings online from BHR or Prima Air website for the Cessna Grand Caravan EX light aircraft flights to The Taaras Resort.
