It was a nerve wrecking day for me on the 5 Nov 2015 as I was invited for a live interview broadcast at the Mediacorp Radio Singapore for Travel Inspiration 360, on 938Live. I arrived early at the studio at 4.20pm as the programme starts at 4.30pm. While waiting, I felt so anxious waiting for my the air time when waiting for 10 minutes felt like hours! haha
At Mediacorp
In fact, this was my third time in Mediacorp and even then, whenever an artiste walked past us, we pounced on them like fresh meat for a photo opportunity. My brother and buddies followed me into Mediacorp that day and Huiling was really skillful in spotting artists/celebrities. She could do well as a Paparazzi for her next occupation I guess, but anyway, perhaps I was too preoccupied and nervous about my interview, my situation awareness was kinda low and not as sharp as her especially in spotting artistes. haha
Nevertheless, it was great spot by my buddies and hence I have a few photos to show. LOL This sort of reminded me of my Africa trips, when I was deep in the savannah spotting for wildlife, but in Mediacorp, we spot celebrities. #justsaying LOL
The Interview
After we managed to locate the radio building, 938Live is just on the left side of the entrance, while 987FM is just right in front. The presenters were hosting their programme, and they seems to be really professional about what they were doing. I was interviewed by two beautiful 938Live FM Radio Producer and Presenter, Daphne Lim and Angela Lim, on The Culture Cafe – Boarding Pass between the 4.30pm to 5pm segment. The ladies are really professional. When I was getting ready and on standby inside the studio, my heart was pounding fast, but the ladies were relaxing, chilling and were absolutely non-chalant about their routine! haha
The first minute into the interview, I was quite nervous, I didn’t even keep track and understand what I was saying at certain point, but Daphne and Angela managed to turn the live interview into a friendly banter, and it didn’t take me long to settle down. Soon, I was comfortable, relax and forgotten about the numerous microphones in front of me as I shared about my experiences in Africa. haha
As we went deeper into the conversation, I felt as if we have departed the studio and arrived in the amazing continent of Africa! Astonished by the beauty and vastness of the Safaris and reveling in the beauty of Botswana’s salt pan with moonrise and sunset at the horizon. Witnessing the wildebeest migration, the largest and longest migration on earth and experiencing an unique cultural exchange with the Masai tribe people all over again as I shared my experience! haha Not forgetting, some little tips and tricks for budget travelers. The 30 minutes chat turned out to be really fun and exciting! 🙂
Heartfelt Thanks
Last but not least, really want to thank Mediacorp Radio 938Live FM and Presenter Daphne Lim and Angela Lim for inviting me to a fun afternoon chat with them. Definitely will come back and share more after I return from more travels and adventures ahead.
Not forgetting my dear brother and buddies who accompanied me and gave me encouragement and support. You guys are awesome! 🙂

“Africa – You can see a sunset and believe you have witnessed the Hand of God. You watch the slope lope of a lioness and forget to breathe. You marvel at the tripod of a giraffe bent to water. In Africa, there are iridescent blues on the wings of birds that you do not see anywhere else in nature. In Africa, in the midday heart, you can see blisters in the atmosphere. When you are in Africa, you feel primordial, rocked in the cradle of the world.”
